City of Wilton Manors Long Term Parking Plan March 24, 2016

The goal of the study is to determine the adequacy of public parking in the Wilton Manors corridor and to identify strategies to meet the future parking demand.

On-Street Field Data Collection: Catalogue On-Street Parking Meters Meter Locations Time-Limits Rates Unit Manufacturer Operational Condition (All Existing Parking Meters throughout the Study Area) Hourly Occupancy

Off-Street Field Data Collection: Catalogue Off-Street Parking Lots Locations Capacity Operator Rates Hourly Occupancy (All City-owned Parking Facilities and Selected Privately-owned Parking Facilities) Physical Appearance (Structural Condition, Layout Efficiency, Access Equipment )

Collect parking occupancy data on an average day and night: Occupancy Rate Turnover Rate Length of Stay Gauge effective supply of parking Parking adequacy (surpluses/deficits by areas or zones) Future Parking Demand Future Parking Supply

Parking Occupancy: Effective supply of parking Parking adequacy (surpluses/deficits by areas or zones) Future Parking Demand Future Parking Supply

Recommend Strategies:   Develop new facilities Expand existing facilities Change regulated areas Change the allocation of spaces (short/long term) Alter the parking rates Alter time limit restrictions
