Utility Automation of Offices Ali Asghar, Muhammad Saeed Khan University of Gujrat, Gujrat, Pakistan ali.asghar112@gmail.com, dr.msaeed@uog.edu.pk Abstract It is the necessity of time that every office of an organization should me automated for minimum electrical power utilization. This work presents the sensors relay control (SRC).of utility items of an office for minimization of power use in offices. The accuracy of the system was observed and results were measured. Electrical power consumption, thermostat level change and change in efficiency of server were studied. Results and Discussion When staff enter in the office sensor the infrared rays form changes which it receive and sensor establish the an output signal at its terminal which switch on the relay and relay switch on the load. the process is continuously repeated till the power supply switch was kept turned on. Fig.3. Implemented automation system The cost and results of utility automation of offices are shown in Table I. Table I Cost and profit calculations Introduction A combination infra red sensor and 3-phase relay system is built and utilized to control the utility of an office. Kyoung et al. presented the system recognizes the location of resident's in intelligent smart home services. The paper presented a location-recognition algorithm [5]. Utility Automation of Offices An infrared sensor senses any change in the pattern of infrared rays. A relay is a switching device which works when it receive an electric signal. Relay is a switch that makes and breaks the circuit under the effect of input from another device or circuit. The whole system working block diagram is given in Fig.1. Fig.1. Block diagram of automation system 3-phase power is supplied at the input side of the relay while relay activation signal is supplied by the sensor. The circuit and connections mad to realize this system are shown in Fig. 2. Fig.2.
