What is incredible years? The Incredible Years group gives you the opportunity to be with other parents to share ideas and learn ways to help you manage your child’s behaviour positively. Programs such as the Incredible Years group has been shown to be effective for helping children with significant behavioral difficulties, conduct disorders and diagnosis such as ADHD. How long is the group ? The group is run over 14 weekly 2.5 hour sessions. There are breaks during the school holiday. Is childcare provided ? We provide a crèche for children 10 and under. Are refreshments on offer? Refreshments will be provided for the duration of the programme How will this programme help ? • Help increase positive relationships with your child. • Bring out the best in your child using praise and rewards. • Develop positive play with your child • Help your child with their feelings and friendships. • Learn ways to manage your own feelings. • Help to use selective ignoring for misbehavior, time out for aggression andconsequences. • Believe in yourself as a successful parent.
