Current Funding UTFAB Funding will focus on display technology and Crestron control for instructors 80” Dual LCD Displays for 45 seat classrooms. Dual Projectors for 90 Seat classrooms. We believe this would be the most tangible investment of the dollars from a student perspective. College of Business will match UTFAB funding and focus on wiring and switching equipment to switch content between podium (PC with dual displays) and laptop to projectors in a design that is consistent with Rockwell West Classrooms and allows for future connectivity.

Objectives moving forward Overall objective is to bring Rockwell Classrooms up to standards of Rockwell West Technology is key: Leverage the ops room of Rockwell west to support remote speakers joining a live classroom/recording content for student review. Leverage the existing infrastructure and support teams of Rockwell west to provide the same level of service for Rockwell Classrooms. Room furnishings also needs to be addressed Paint, seating, carpeting, lighting?
Phase 2 Collaboration? The College of Business is committed to making this happen if you can help. We will allocate additional $50,000 this year or next to address the gaps in technology to bring the rooms up to standard. UTFAB funding would allow us to complete Phase 2 in a timely manner. We would like approach UFFAB to match money to upgrade physical aspects of the classroom 2012/2013 fiscal year. Goal is to complete renovations by fall 2014.
