WF on 4Tx UL Codebook For CP-OFDM 3GPP TSG RAN1 #91 Reno, USA, November 27th – December 1st, 2017 Agenda item – 7.2.1.2 R1-17nnnnn WF on 4Tx UL Codebook For CP-OFDM

Background Partial coherence/full coherence is a UE capability. The only coherence category with guaranteed support from every UE is “non-coherence”. It is imperative that NR UL MIMO not depending on UE capability/optional feature is robustly supported. Codebook design for non-coherence is of high importance and should not be compromised.
