Loop Glider Design Challenge Design, build, and test 2 loop gliders Record test flight distances in feet Convert feet to inches Calculate total and average distance flown for both planes Complete a graph showing technical data for both planes
Convert Feet to Inches Multiply the distance in feet by 12”. There are 12” in a foot.
Find the Total The word “total” means to ADD. Add up all of the distances flown and record it in the table under “total”.
Find the Average Divide the total by the number of test flights you made. That will be the average distance flown. Use the average to compare each loop glider. The glider with the greater average performed the best.
