Exploring The Rainforest Created By:Grace

What is a Rainforest? A rainforest is a tropical forest with a lot of animals and plants,that gets an annual amount of rainfall.

Where are Rainforests Located? Rainforests can be found in Brazil, North America, West Central Africa, India, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, and Northeast Australia.

Why are Rainforests Endangered? Rainforests are Endangered because of deforestation which is the cutting down of trees. They are also endangered because of human activities such as logging, growing crops, urban settlement.

How Can We Help Save Rainforests? Stop cutting trees down Plant more trees Stop using rainforest land for urban settlement and growing crops

All About Okapi!!! Okapis live in clearings and forest areas of the rainforest the are not polluted by dead leaves and tree branches. Okapis eat shoots, buds, grass, fruit, fungi

Interesting Facts about Okapi! Okapis weigh about 460 – 650 pounds. They can grow to be about 6 –8 ft. in height. Okapis are mammals and relatives of giraffes. Okapis slightly resembles to the zebra because of the stripes, but share more similarities with giraffe.
