What is Photojournalism? The art of using images to tell a news story News delivered in an informative, creative, and sometimes entertaining way. Photojournalists create and contribute pictures that add to news media. Should be timely and objective, meaning the photos are in context of current events and is an accurate representation of the events (fair as much as possible). Often used to bring awareness to social justice issues and other global issues.

What is Photojournalism? Some photojournalism can be violent and/or provocative, especially if centered around war. At times, censorship comes into play—photojournalist must decide whether to tell the story they want to tell or the one their employer wants them to tell. With the Internet, it is much more difficult to censor today.
