Points to remember The moon takes 27.3 days to complete 1 revolution around the earth AND also make 1 rotation around itself But the moon takes 29.5 days to go from one New Moon phases to the next. Waxing moon= moon grows brighter Waning moon= moon grows dimmer Rotation- spinning of a planet about its internal axis Constellation=group of stars.
