4th Fabulous Mr. Stamper Welcome! Important Dates Communication Soaring Eagle Students and Families, Welcome to the Fabulous Fourth Grade! We have a lot of exciting things to learn and explore this year. Together, I know that we can encourage each student to do and be his or her best. Fall Conferences will begin after the first progress reports are sent out. I look forward to meeting with each of you and discussing your student’s success! I look forward to a successful school year filled with learning and fun. Sincerely, Shawn Stamper 4th Fabulous Mr. Stamper Important Dates 28 Aug: 1st Day of School 04 Sep: School Holiday 09 Oct: School Holiday 13 Oct: End of 1st 9 weeks; student early release Communication Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns. The best way to contact me is through e-mail at shawn.stamper@killeenisd.org. I will respond within one school day. You may also send a note in your student’s Home Communication folder, which they bring home daily. I check these folders everyday and will respond by the next school day. You can find additional information, including contact numbers, on the school’s website. Simply go the http://www.killeenisd.org, click on “Schools” at the top of the page, then scroll down until you find Nolanville Elementary. Procedures Homework: Students will read for 20 minutes daily. Additional work will be assigned as needed, usually for incomplete work. Dismissal: If there is a change in the way your student will go home, please send a note with your child in the morning. Otherwise, you will have to come to the school in person. For example, if you student normally rides the bus, but you will be picking them up instead, you will need to send a note with your child in the morning. What We Will Learn ELAR: Different types of texts including poetry, dramas and fiction; research and writing; and, persuasive texts. Math: Operations, fractions, decimals, analyzing geometry, and measurement. Science: Force, matter, energy, natural resources, and living systems. Social Studies: Texas geography, history, government, and economy.
