Introduction Graphing the Weather Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Great news, you are headed on a ROAD TRIP! You and your Math partner are going to visit 5 cities in the Southeastern Region of the United States over the next 5 days. You will need to know the correct clothing to pack, which means you will need to research the temperatures for each city. Follow the steps on the tab labeled TASK to the left to get your travel plans. Drive safely 

Graphing the Weather Task Introduction Task Process Evaluation You will be traveling to these 5 cities in the Southeast region Richmond, VA - Wednesday Charlotte, NC - Thursday Columbia, SC - Friday Atlanta, GA - Saturday Orlando, FL - Sunday Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion First, click on the tab to the left labeled Process. Click on each city name to see it’s weather information. Once on the site, look at the high temperature for the day you will be visiting that city. Record this information on a data chart. Use the information on your data chart to create a line graph WHAT YOUR GRAPH NEEDS: Title of your graph X-axis title Y-axis title Labels for your X and Y axis

Graphing the Weather Evaluation Introduction Task Process Evaluation Here is how your graph will be evaluated: Evaluation Graphing the Weather    2 3 4 Creative Title Student does not have a title Student has a title but it does not make sense for the graph Student has a clear title of the graph that makes sense Axis Labeled Both x and y-axis are labeled incorrectly (title, increments, and measurements) One axis is labeled incorrectly (title, increments, and measurements) Both x and y axis are labeled correctly (title, increments, and measurements) Plotted Points 3 or more points are plotted incorrectly 2 to 3 points are plotted incorrectly 1 or less points are plotted incorrectly Neatness Organization is poor and information is not presented clearly Organization is fair but could make at least two improvements Information is presented clearly and orderly Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion

Graphing the Weather Conclusion Now that you have gathered your data and created a line graph, you can make a copy of your line graph online. Click this link: Create a graph Make your graph online and send your finished product to my email coleen.hillerson@lcps.org Now practice your new skill: IXL Math W.2 and W.3 Line graph quiz Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion
