Categories of data acquisition Event based electrical signals, driven by Sensors, I/Os Target: CNC, PLC or conventional machines, or any other production asset (gages, assembly stations…) “Data push” from Software agents on CNC/PLC Target: CNCs < 10 years Software-only “pull” acquisition using programmatic API/interfaces Target: CNCs < 3 years Manual entry/scans, to augment/qualify production or process data Target: Processes that require external input, or qualifiers

Data collected then gets transformed into real-time color coded cockpits that indicate the health of ur productviity (OEE). Drill down gets u to more “lean” indicators (next slide) Confidential
