Definition of Terms Weekly Speech is a Public Speaking class’ activity that is aimed to bolster students’ self confidence.

Definition of Terms Self-efficacy can be described as a function of self-beliefs with which individuals can accomplish a task (Bandura, A., 1997). Public speaking is a vital means of civic engagement; to express the students’ ideas on issues that matter in society (Lucas, S.E.,2015).

Developing self-efficacy through Weekly Speech assignments in Public Speaking class Statement SD D A SA By having a self-efficacy in Public Speaking class, I can accomplish the tasks (Weekly Speech) well.   58.3% 41.7% My self-efficacy in Public Speaking class effect my behavior in performing weekly speech assignment. 4.2% 50% 45.8% Self-efficacy comes from failures, experiences, efforts, and problem solving. The feedback provided by the lecturer in Public Speaking class enhances my self-efficacy. 54,1% I consider self-efficacy as a main factor to measure my outcome in Public Speaking class. 8.3% 37.5% Self-efficacy deals with my self-confidence 70.8% 29.2%

Students’ perception on the impact of the implementation of weekly speech assignments in public speaking class. Statement SD D A SA Weekly Speech assignment is a fun and beneficial activity to improve my English competence and skill. 4.2% 8.3% 75% 12.5% Weekly Speech assignments in Public Speaking class encourage my awareness to learn from my performing experiences and failures to build my self-efficacy.   25% Weekly Speech assignment in Public Speaking Class trains my “I can do it” sense. 58.3% 37.5% Weekly Speech assignment helps me to monitor my own learning process in Public Speaking class. 83.3% 16.7%
