Responses to the Video on YouTube Multiculturalism and Diversity is a secret plot to destroy Western civilisation. Don't fall for it. This is bullshit! Look at all of this time energy and effort that has to be devoted to solving a problem that's created by multiculturalism and diversity. Diversity is not our strengths it is a source of conflict and strife. segregation is needed now Little girls forced to wear head coverings yet the school does nothing to stop this abuse. Trying to create equity and parity between average 75 IQ students and average 100 IQ students is a fantasy and cannot be achieved no matter how much money and energy you throw at it. The multiculturalists want freedom of association for their group, but they don't want culturists to have freedom of association for their groups. It is apparent that the multiculturalists want to be able to move into any area and take it over. This is tyrannical. In fact it reminds me of colonialism. I thought that multiculturalists were against that. I think the only solution is to allow groups to have their own territories. So called "diversity" policies actually destroy racial diversity. They want to force us all to be mixed into a condition of being racially one big bottle of Heinz 57 steak sauce. The important thing to recognize is that the multiculturalists want all the land to belong to them. The IQ is important...those somalies have a 60 IQ. Diversity does nothing to make a country stronger it destroys unity which actually makes a country stronger Diversity HAS NEVER worked. Period. Good

Preventing Conflict or Dealing With It? What are your thoughts on the videos? Work smart not hard Why you need to understand the community attitudes How do you create and maintain an inclusive and safe learning environment when it goes against mainstream beliefs? How do you keep the professional you separate from the personal you?

Conflict Resolution Allies & Strategies What conflicts do you experience in your class? What conflicts do you experience with your student’s community? How do your personal beliefs interfere with good conflict resolution? What strategies do you use to restore order? Who are your allies?

Why Your School Counselor Is Your Best Friend When it comes to solving classroom conflict When you need self-care When your strategies need reinforcement For instance, how much time do you lose trying to get a student to settle down? How many times do you tell the student to return to learning, be quiet, etc.? How much stress is added to you and the other students? 10 minutes? 20? What happens to the quality of the learning? Does the disruptive behavior set the mood for the remaining class or school time? How do you feel after the event?

Possible Solutions – Collaborative Efforts Example: Talk to your counselor and develop a plan When a student is disruptive, after the second attempt at restoring order, call the student forward and give them a slip of paper, taped shut and tell the student that you need them to do you a favor. “Would you do me a favor and take this note to Mr. Ron?” The student may feel that they are in trouble. Mr. Ron knows that any student coming from your class needs redirection. He greets the student and engages in good dialog. Hi how are you, lovely day, etc. There is no mention of the behavior that sent them to him. Mr. Ron redirects the emotion and mindset. He gives the student a sealed note to take back to you. Tells the student thankyou for doing this and sends them back to class. You get the note and say thank you. What do you think is going to happen next? What happened when the student left the class? Butterfly and stretching technique.

Project Create a visual representation about your beliefs about conflict and a visual that represents your beliefs about resolution. What do they look like to you? Next, Share your visuals with your group. Talk about how you feel and find commonalities. As a group, create and present your understandings about conflict, conflict resolution, synthesize your learning, etc. In other words, use your group voice to make a statement.
