OmniView® Serial Adapter

OmniView® Serial Adapter As more devices in the datacentre are accessible through a serial connection, the need for the management of these devices increases. Think of manageable switches, UPS’s or servers which are all primary components in datacentres nowadays. The Belkin OmniView® Serial Adapter enables you to connect to these devices in an easy and user friendly way. Belkin comes with the “OmniView® Serial Adapter”. The OmniView® Serial Adapter enables you to connect to your serial devices using a PS/2 keyboard and VGA video or Sun keyboard and Sun video. The Serial adapter can be used for a direct connection between your keyboard and console and a serial device. A second possibility is connecting the OmniView® Serial Adapter to your Belkin KVM or Belkin KVM over IP. This will provide you with the same accessibility to your serial devices as you are used to with your servers. This feature will give you great flexibility in the management of your datacentre. 31/03/2008
