Two from Boston, Massachusetts What happened . . . 4 commercial airliners were hijacked by terrorists Two from Boston, Massachusetts One from Newark, NJ One from Washington DC

Attack on the WTC Both towers of the World Trade Center in NYC were hit by commercial airliners flown by suicide pilots. Both towers came crashing down hours later Over 2800 people believed dead

The Pentagon Hijacked flight 77 from Washington DC crashes into the Pentagon, killing 184

United Flight 93 United flight 93 out of Newark was hijacked and believed to be headed to the White House, crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania after passengers attempted to take control of the airplane. Todd Beamer

All have a deep hatred for the U.S. Who was responsible? Radical, militant terrorist organization: Al Qaeda, led at the time by Osama bin Laden. All have a deep hatred for the U.S.
