Do Now: It’s the zombie apocalypse. Using awesome flamethrowers, Mr. Tamhane can “kill” a zombie in 4 minutes, while Mr. Lopez can “kill” a zombie in 3 minutes. They fight together for 12 minutes before Mr. Lopez gets bitten and turns into a zombie himself. A) If there are initially 100 zombies, how many do Mr. Tamhane and Mr. Lopez “kill” in the first 12 minutes? B) How many zombies are “alive” after 12 minutes? C) How long will it take Mr. Tamhane to finish off the zombie mob?
