Interested in HEALTH Issues ? Why not come to ENRGHI 2008 ! 13th Emerging New Research on Geographies of Health and Impairment Conference St. Andrews (UK) 2008, 10 -11, June For Postgraduates and Early-Career Researchers What is ENRGHI? ENRGHI is a long-running conference that has visited Universities all over the UK and holds great international appeal. ENRGHI provides a forum for emerging researchers who share a common interest in health and its variation over space, environment and time. Who takes part in ENRGHI? Previous ENRGHI conferences have attracted delegates from all over the world with research backgrounds as diverse as human and physical geography, economics, sociology, law, medicine, management, anthropology, psychology and public health. Why should you participate in ENRGHI? ENRGHI constitutes an international stage for postgraduates and early-career researchers to meet and to present and discuss their research with like-minded peers. ENRGHI is historically a vital stepping-stone for young academics to boost their career chances in health research. What's happening at ENRGHI 2008? The conference itself will primarily consist of delegate-led oral presentations, an academic poster competition, and workshops on careers in health research and emerging techniques and data sources. Each day will commence with a world-class Keynote Speaker: Abstract Submission: FRIDAY 18th APRIL 2008 Abstracts should not exceed 300 words in length and should be emailed to the conference organiser, Thomas Astell-Burt, at enrghi2008@googlemail.com. Please include your full name, University affiliation and indicate if your abstract is for an oral presentation or poster in your email. You are encouraged to submit both oral and poster abstracts on different aspects of your research. Prizes are available in both presentation categories. Looking forward to meeting you! Professor Sally MacIntyre (Director of the Medical Research Council Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, University of Glasgow) Professor Paul Boyle (President of the British Society for Population Studies, Director of the Longitudinal Studies Centre – Scotland, Head of the School of Geography & Geosciences, University of St Andrews) Look out for news on ENRGHI 2008 at http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/gg/news/events/ enrghi2008@googlemail.com
