The picnic By Amy Marie Calleja

One summer day, Lucy and Tom were getting ready to go on a picnic One summer day, Lucy and Tom were getting ready to go on a picnic. Lucy was cutting the bread while mum was making some tea. Their naughty puppy Foxy was watching them get ready.

Mum called the children to show them where they had to go Mum called the children to show them where they had to go. In the meantime Foxy peeked at the picnic basket and jumped into it.

Foxy ate their food and only left them tea Foxy ate their food and only left them tea. It was time to say their good byes. The children grabbed the basket and set off to the field.

They finally arrived and found a shady spot They finally arrived and found a shady spot. The sun was shining brightly, green trees were happily swaying in the hot summer breeze and white and black cows were grazing in the fields.The children played for sometime.

They started feeling a bit hungry so they stopped playing They started feeling a bit hungry so they stopped playing. Tom opened the picnic basket and out jumped Foxy. Tim was angry while Lucy couldn’t stop giggling.

Foxy only left them tea. When the kids were staring at the empty picnic basket they saw all the crumbs that Foxy had left.

Now every time the children go on a picnic, they take some food for Foxy so that he will not get hungry and eat their food.
