Effective today, our students, faculty and staff now have free access to Grammarly@EDU – an automated grammar checker and writing support tool. To access the program, go to: www.Grammarly.com/EDU/ Use access code: jM9VXCzE9nd5Qsvs and register using your institutional email address. Once you have registered, you will receive an email confirming your registration. Click on the link in the confirmation email and you will have full access to Grammarly@EDU at no charge.

This is where you enter the school access code:jM9VXCzE9nd5Qsvs(see your flyer)

Copy the student’s text and paste here.

Hover your mouse over “Start Review” and choose the type of review.

If your assignment uses citations, use “research paper” as the paper type. Otherwise, choose the paper type that best suits your assignment. (This review checks for grammar.)

Notice the score. You can choose to make grammar out of 10 points or any other amount you like (or no points at all!).

Notice specific examples of grammar errors are given.

Now click on “plagiarism”.

Tier 2 or Tier 3 words instead of Tier 1. If a student has used a phrase like,“the day was warm”and Grammarly brings it up as possible plagiarism, it just means that phrase is used often other places.Suggest to the student they use Tier 2 or Tier 3 words instead of Tier 1.

You can choose to have a summary of the errors.

Or you can save/print a report as a pdf file.

When you finish with the current paper, click on “clear” to begin the next paper.
