Introduction Hospital information management system is important support tool in the management of health care services delivery in both developed and developing countries. Hospital information Management system (HIMS) is developed to use in Hospitals, Medical Centers, Health Clinics, and other Medical Institutes to make the record keeping process of all the patients’ medical details and other information easier to be accessible.

Background The procedure involved in the current system in Naznaaj hospital is manual record keeping. It involve Make registration Get identification card Obtain file jacket joints the queue Use of file cabinets

Problem Statement The current method of keeping records in Naznaaj hospital is the manual method involving papers and files. There are serious limitations of manual record keeping including the need for large storage areas and difficulties in the retrieval of records. It causes: inconsistent data entry Errors miskeying information

Objectives Main Objective Specific Objectives To develop an information management system that would handle day to day operations of Naznaaj hospital. Specific Objectives To Collect the system requirements and make analysis on the current information management system of the hospital. ` To develop the proposed system by looking at all the analysis done on the current system. To implement the new system that would manage records keeping in Naznaaj hospital. To Test and validate the new system that would ensure all system requirements are met.

Methodology This project’s methodology considered several aspects of developing the system. It involves the following parts System Identification Requirements Interview, Observation, Questionnaire System Analysis and Design Data Flow Diagram, Entity Relationship Diagram System Implementation Visual Studio 2013, Microsoft SQL Server Testing and Validation

Results & discussion

Challenges the system cannot be access over internet. Inability of the system to run smart mobile phones. The system is restricted only to windows platform. Encountered communication problem

Recommendations To change the current system of handling day to day operations. Deploy system according to precise specifications of the system. Isolate users group. Proper training of end-users. senior management support.

Conclusion The research findings done in this project showed how system is easy to use, less tiresome and would increase efficiency in handling daily routines as well as managing records in Naznaaj hospital. We are also happy that the goals we set at the beginning of the system have been met, as the system is fully functional as proposed. This project facilitated us to have a better insight of real world problems and how to solve them.

Further works Enhance to web based system Ability to support mobile phones Ability to know the vacant beds. Ability to handle staff’s payroll.

END We are grateful
