Child Care Facilitator Activity Today, you are all going to become Compliance Officers for the State of Utah. Your job is to evaluate the “Little Ducklings Daycare” in Provo, Utah. You will be evaluating three aspects of the daycare: Worker/Employees Activities for the children Environment of the daycare

Worker/Employee On the post-it note given to you, answer this question using only one word: “What quality would be most important for a child care worker/employee to have?” Once completed, stick your note under the same colored sign in the room. Obtain from the teacher another colored post-it note.

Activities for Children On the post-it note given to you, answer this question using only one word: “What quality would be most important for a child care activity to have?” Once completed, stick your note under the same colored sign in the room. Obtain from the teacher another colored post-it note.

Environment of Daycare On the post-it note given to you, answer this question using only one word: “What quality would be most important for a child care environment to have?” Once completed, stick your note under the same colored sign in the room. Students should return to their desks when done.

Key Points Divide the class into three groups and assign one of the three areas that was just evaluated to each group. Groups will review the posted answers. Choose four key points that you feel are the most important qualities to have for your particular area. Create a poster that illustrates those key points. Each group will then present their posters to the class.

Concept Mapping Hand out the Concept Mapping Worksheet to the students. Fill out the concept map while listening to each of the groups present their four key points. Be sure to record the answers from your own group. At the end of the class period, turn in your concept map and poster for a grade.
