Presentation transcript:

Assessment Activities S1P2 Students will demonstrate effects of magnets on other magnets and other objects. b. Identify common objects that are attracted to a magnet. Limited or Minimum Progress toward achievement of standard (1) Student is not able to identify common objects that are attracted to a magnet. Progressing toward achievement of standard (2) Student inconsistently identifies common objects that are attracted to a magnet. Consistently and independently achieves the standard (3) Student consistently and independently identifies common objects that are attracted to a magnet. Assessment Activities Show students different objects. Have them classify them by attracted or not attracted to a magnet. Have students observe, predict, and keep a record of objects that can or cannot be attracted to a magnet. Have them keep this record in their science journal. Instructional Notes: Students should know: what an object is made of will determine if it is attracted to a magnet. some things are attracted to a magnet and some things are not.
