Carissa Krane, PhD The American Physiological Society ckrane1@udayton.edu Dr. Carissa Krane is a professor, and inaugural Schuellein endowed chair in the Biological Sciences at the University of Dayton where she has been on the faculty since 2001. She teaches upper level human physiology lecture and laboratory courses in the Biology Department, and mentors undergraduate and graduate students in her lab. Funding for her work on Aquaporins, has come from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the American Lung Association. Dr. Krane recently completed two terms of service as the President of the Academic Senate at UD, and has also served as Associate Director of the University Honors Program. She recently completed a 3-year term of service on the American Physiological Society’s Education Committee.
