I Am From By: Tracy O’Hair

Sight - (What you see around where you live or what you like to look at.) I am from the great city of “Tick-town”. And the color purple. From families, friends, and neighbors outside on their front porches. And sunny blue sky mornings, and dark starry sky nights.

Taste – (What you love to eat or familiar food.) I am from the taste of chocolate milk, chocolate candy, chocolate cake, and chocolate pie. And peaches. From fish sticks, peas, and mashed potatoes at school every Friday. And cold, fresh, homemade ice cream at Mamma's house.

Hearing – (Sounds around you, at home, school, anywhere, or what you like to listen to.) I am from the sound of rock and roll music on my headphones at night. And the 6:00 news. From total silence when I am punished. And background noises when I read.

Smell – (Things you remember or that make you happy or sad.) I am from the smell of old books. And hot apple pies. From crisp night air. And saltwater breezes.

Touch – (What things you like or dislike feel like when they are touched.) I am from the feel of rough leaves as I jump in. And the scratchy sand between my toes. From soft, squishy stuffed animals all over my room. And big, strong bear hugs.

Feelings – (Your reactions, thoughts, and feelings about people, places, and things.) I am from love. And laughter. From learning as I grow. And loosing my mind from time to time.
