Examples of what is working in Numeracy… Impact of Precision Teaching Methodology on Numeracy Development (Angus) Enhancing teacher knowledge in arithmetical development, numeracy pedagogy and quality interactions: A coaching and mentoring approach (North Lanarkshire) Making learning conversations count: Using video reflection to enhance Teaching Assistants’ impact on attainment in numeracy. (Dundee) Evidencing the impact of growth mindset teaching and learning approaches on children’s engagement, enjoyment and attitude towards mathematics (Aberdeenshire)

Schools making the best progress are: clearly define what the poverty-related attainment gap looks like use SIMD and tracking data to identify and review the progress of children living in poverty plan additional activities, interventions and resources to raise attainment in literacy and numeracy to ensure all children achieve in line with national expectations continually evaluate the impact on children’s progress and attainment and take further action where needed.

What is the direct impact of intervention work having on Literacy and Numeracy. Research Centre for Experiential Education at Leuven University (Belgium), under the supervision of Professor Ferre Laevers – an educationalist in the Experiential Education field. We want learners to feel included, engaged and involved. Scales could be modified for learner friendly language. Could support teacher professional judgements or learners themselves could track.
