Posterior tissue topography Snappy™ 4.0 & 5.5 Posterior tissue topography Disclaimer: Some products may not be regulatory cleared/released for sale in all markets. Please contact the local Nobel Biocare sales office for current product assortment and availability. Posterior tissue topography is relatively flat and can vary in depth. The keys to using this abutment is to make a tissue depth measurement allowing you to choose the correct collar height, and an interocclusal measurement to choose the correct abutment height.

Snappy™ 4.0 & 5.5 2 abutment heights 4.0 & 5.5 Laser markings 4.0 and 5- marked on the abutments and components Disclaimer: Some products may not be regulatory cleared/released for sale in all markets. Please contact the local Nobel Biocare sales office for current product assortment and availability. Recent updates have been made to this abutment system, if you have used Snappy abutments In the past you should appreciate the changes to simplify the procedure. If your new to using Snappy abutments these changes will make the process smooth and offer many advantages for you and your patient. The addition of the 5.5mm abutment height allows a taller abutment option to support your conventional cemented restoration. Similar crown & bridge standards apply, allow room for metal and ceramic or all ceramic restorations. A laser marking etched into the components provides quick identification of which abutment was used.

The margin heights are shown for each of our NobelBiocare implants these margin heights are the same as previously offered.

Snappy™ 4.0 & 5.5 Included in package Key Messages: Everything in one package – Necessary components in one package reduces inventory complexity Versatile assortment – two abutment heights, two collar heights per abutment height, and available for all Nobel Biocare implant connections Predictable and efficient handling – Audible “snap” when impression coping & healing cap are fully engaged Disclaimer: Some products may not be regulatory cleared/released for sale in all markets. Please contact the local Nobel Biocare sales office for current product assortment and availability. The Snappy abutment comes with the abutment and screw, the impression coping, a healing cap and temporary engaging coping for quick and easy chairside temporization. There are 2 abutment and 2 collar height choices making it easy to choose the correct abutment for your patient. The abutment provides a predictable and efficient restorative process and offers two provisional options to your patient. There is a healing cap which will snap over the abutment protecting the screw access opening while the impression is sent to the lab. A temporary coping, designed for single tooth application is also provided. The acrylic coping allows you a quick chair side provisional option. The patient can assess tooth shape and color while enjoying an esthetic temporary with a well defined margin and clinical contours for tissue stabilization during healing. The snap of components onto the Snappy abutment is what gave it it’s name and one of the features you will enjoy most when using this abutment. The impression coping provides an audible snap into place which means it has fully engaged the abutment and is seated properly. The cap is captured in the impression material upon removal of your full arch impression. The lab will need an opposing model, bite registration and shade similar to your crown and bridge requirements. A replica is used to pour a tissue model most labs will have these available or you may send one with your case.

Snappy™ Abutment System – Case Presentation Disclaimer: Some products may not be regulatory cleared/released for sale in all markets. Please contact the local Nobel Biocare sales office for current product assortment and availability. Here is clinical case provided by Dr Rick Sullivan. Dr. Sullivan routinely places a 3 mm tall Healing Abutment on implants placed in the posterior mandible. He plans the depth of the implant placement so that the top edge of the 3 mm healing abutment is just even with the gingival tissue. This positions the margin of the Snappy Abutment just below the tissue. The Snappy Abutment may also be placed in a one-stage procedure as a heal-in-place abutment without first placing the healing abutment.

Please contact the local Nobel Biocare sales office for current product assortment and availability. The arrow on the impression coping denotes the orientation of the impression coping and helps to align the impression coping to the grooves on the abutment. Normally one groove on the abutment will have a buccal orientation and the arrow on the impression coping will face to buccal as shown.

One of the biggest challenges restorative doctors face is capturing the margins of tooth preparations and abutments with their impressions. The precise fit of the Snappy Abutment Impression Coping ensures that a perfect impression is taken every time. As can be seen in this impression taken by Dr. Sullivan the margin of the impression coping is available making positioning of the abutment replica very simple and with excellent visibility. The restorative doctor should discuss with the dental laboratory who should be responsible to insert the abutment replica into the Impression Coping since some labs prefer to seat all replicas.

Please contact the local Nobel Biocare sales office for current product assortment and availability. After the impression is made the Snappy abutment may be temporized or the healing cap, snapped back in place. Remember, the Snappy abutment is designed as a one-stage heal-in-place abutment system and the surgeon can place the abutment and snap on the healing cap instead of placing a healing abutment on the implant.

Snappy™ Abutment with a temporary crown Disclaimer: Some products may not be regulatory cleared/released for sale in all markets. It is extremely important that the restorative doctor not use too much cement and that any excess cement is completely removed from the tissue. Recent studies have shown that excess cement left below the tissue is a significant factor in peri-implantitis.
