Education Most social work jobs require a bachelor’s degree. For some jobs in social work you need a masters degree. In most states you have to be licensed. You have to take a social workers test to be able to become one. Degrees in any majors are usually acceptable to become a social worker.

Important Qualities In order to become a social worker, you have to be a people person, because you will be working with many different kinds of people. You need to be able to have listening skills, because you will be helping people with their problems. Organization is important. You will have many files about different clients that need to be in order. Time-management skills are necessary. You will need to have enough time to help all of your clients. The final thing that is important to have, is compassion. You will most likely be dealing with extremely stressed out people. You need to build a relationship with them to make them feel more secure.

Job Outlook Social workers are going to be growing in demand by 25 percent from now until 2020. Increases in demand for this occupation are coming because there are more people who need health care and social services. The demand is also growing because they need more people to be able to investigate cases of child abuse. Baby boomers are aging, so more social workers are needed to work with them as they get older. More people keep getting addicted to drugs today, so more substance abuse social workers are needed.

Education You sometimes only need a high school diploma. Go to technical school. Most get an apprenticeship for four years working with other electricians. May need license depending on the state. Its important that you have had at LEAST ONE year of an algebra class.

Important Qualities You have to have colored vision. You will need to be able to see the different colors for the wires you will be working with. Customer service skills are important because you will constantly be working with customers to try to help them with what they need. Managerial skills are also important because you may need to direct other peoples work. You need to be able to be quick at solving problems. Things could go wrong quick with this job, and thinking fast is important. You also need to be able to think critically. Tests will need to be performed and you will need to figure out what the problem might be.

Job Outlook Electrician employment will grow 23 percent from now until 2020. That is faster than the average for all occupations. Houses and businesses are needing a lot more wiring. Alternative power generation is growing in need, and electricians are needed to install them. The growth of technology is also a reason that electricians are becoming more needed.
