Istituto Comprensivo Maria Montessori Sports Day YEAH - Young European in Action: Helping you, Helping me out! 2015_2017

YEAH! Sports Day It was celebrated on April 20th, at the end of several activities carried out from February to April 2017. The sports chosen were football and volleyball.

Football Football is the most popular sport in European Union, it can be considered as a "promoter" of European culture.

Volleyball Volleyball is the most practiced sport in Italian schools; it’s very popular and involves both girls and boys!

Girls playing: "A ball among the desks!” The girls have been the protagonists of football activities, with the leadership of the Italian Football Federation.

Strategies and game schemes The most relevant aspects of this activity are the inclusion of pupils with special needs and the study of rules and game tactics. The girls played, and the boys were their coaches!

The IC Montessori TEAM The activity involved several schools in the neighborhood. Here is IC Maria Montessori team: it gained the second position in the finals of April 20th!

I love volleyball! Pupils from first grade of secondary school were involved in a volleyball tournament with other schools of the district.
