Martín Gerardo Moreno Sánchez 25/02/2013 Investigation of the Systems of measurement What is this? A system of measurement is a set of units which can be used to specify anything which can be measured and were historically important, regulated and defined because of trade and internal comerce. Scientifically, when later analyzed, some quantities are designated as fundamental units meaning all other needed units can be derived from them, whereas in the early and most historic eras, the units were given by fiat (see  Statutory law) by the ruling entities and were not necessarily well inter-related or self-consistent.

METRIC SYSTEM What is this? The metric system is an international decimalized system of measurement that was originally based on  and the  introduced by France in 1799. Over the years, the definitions of the metre and kilogram have been refined and the metric system extended to incorporate many more units.

U.S CUSTUMARY UNITS United States customary units are a system of measurements commonly used in the United States. Many U.S. units are virtually identical to their imperial Counter pats, but the U.S. customary system developed from English units used in the British Empire before the system of imperial units was standardized in 1824. Several numerical differences for the imperial system are present.
