Time Period Scavenger Hunt Working in Groups….

Groups: Group 1: Mikayla, Jesse B, Stephanie Group 2: Brian, Megan B, Audra Group 3: Megan M, Kyle, Anthony Group 4: Melanie, Jenni, Tyler Jessica Chalfant and Allison Couch are both absent and will have an alternative assignment when they get back.

Group 1: What was the Ara Pacis for? What is a pseudoperipital temple? Write a short paragraph about the Temple of Portunus and it’s characterisitics. What is syncretism? Why does syncretism apply to Rome?

Group 1: What does ara pacis mean? What are the artists of the Republican period trying to accomplish when depicting rulers? What does “veristic” mean? What does PATRICIAN mean? What is a VOUSSOIR and what is its purpose?
