For the following four scenarios, identify whether the patient should see a Physical Therapist (PT), or an Occupational Therapist (OT). Then indicate the word or words in the scenario that led you to your choice. 1. In order for Sam to be able to perform her job-specific skills again after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, her doctor recommended a specific type of therapy. 2. Luke got hurt playing rugby and needed to do rehabilitation in order to regain his movement and strength. 3. Since having his shoulder surgery, Doug was in a significant amount of pain and need to see someone to help manage the pain and recover back to his original healthy condition. 4. Alexis was told her son would need weekly visits to a specialist in order to develop the functional skills needed for daily activities like brushing his teeth and getting in and out of the bathtub.
