My Genius Hour By: Cami Marteeny

What applications I use I use an app called Duolingo to learn French. This app can be used on mobile devices such as iphones and ipads, but is also a website. I really like this site because it is very easy to use, it teaches the lessons very well and encourages you to practice everyday. It is especially nice on my phone because I don’t need wifi to use it. You can use Duolingo to learn other languages as well, not just French.

Why I chose French I chose to learn French because I have known a few words in French for quite a while, I've always wanted to learn more. When I was little one of my friends moved to Paris and I've always wanted to be able to talk fluently with her.

Subjects I’ve learned so far Basic words (such as boy, girl, book, etc.) Phrases (such as hello and goodbye) Food Animals Adjectives (such as pretty, big, etc.) Plurals Clothing Colors Questions (such as where is she?) Numbers Family And a few more

Examples of things I’ve learned Here are some examples of simple sentences I’ve learned: J’aime du chocolat I like chocolate

I can also do it the other way around: I love dogs Je adore le chiens

Topics yet to come I have more subjects that I still haven’t learned such as: Time, occupations, objects, places, people, feelings, nature, transportation, sports, and many others. I hope to finish these subjects in the future and be able to speak well in French.

(Thank you very much, bye!) The End Merci beaucoup, salut! (Thank you very much, bye!)
