Repeater Status VHF – failed suddenly ~2 months ago (0 watts) UHF – was slowly degrading over time (2.5 watts) Removed – W7KXB, KF7ZMZ, AA7UA, W7KVI ICOM no longer supports; W7KVI did troubleshooting (90%), ordered parts VHF now operational and installed UHF is operating at 28 Watts, while waiting on driver transistor

New Repeater 1 Research by Bill Harris W7KXB Yaesu promoting digital voice (System Fusion) DR-1X repeaters on sale for $600 (photo next pg) Board approved purchase of one, some considerations of 2nd as possibility May install DR-1X temporarily as UHF repeater while ICOM UHF repairs are attempted. May restore ICOM UHF once repaired, to work on interfacing DR-1X to outboard controller (provides courtesy tones, voice announcements, no override of voice by CW ID, etc.)
