Entertainment in Melbourne

Group Members: Tammy, Tamara and Lisa Hypothesis: Is there enough entertainment in Melbourne? Why: To see what the most popular forms of entertainment are in Melbourne, for different age groups.

Method How did you collect the data for the survey? We found that the easiest people to go and ask for surveys were people who were working in the shopping plaza across the road from the main building. Where did you go and collect data? On the first day of research we went to the Spencer street DFO, the next day we went to the library and the plaza across the road from the main building. How many people did we survey? Why did we survey these people? They didn’t look too busy or in a hurry, and they were in the age groups that we needed more surveys for. What sex/ age were they? The people to approach were women, especially those in an older age group.

Interview We decided to do our interview at AFL World, because it provides a different age group with entertainment. The questions we asked were What entertainment do you provide? Interactive & hands on, kick for goal etc. When is AFL World most popular? School holidays & grand finals. What is the age majority of people who visit? Children 4 -14 & school groups.
