Introduction- Reskilling Google offers Scholarships in different categories to encourage students and developers upgrade their skills The idea is to encourage keen and interested learners enhance their employability skills as well as plan their career development It is a level playing platform provided by Google for all who are interested in developing their skills and get access to the latest technologies

Scholarships for 2018-19 This year, in all around 1,30,000 scholarships are being offered by Google in different categories Presently Scholarships are in the Computer Science areas These courses are offered through the most popular On-line certification agencies Pluralsight and Udacity

Who is Eligibile 18 years age or above Pursuing a course in Computer Science or allied subjects Registration is through on-line process only

Details of PluralSight Courses Presently Pluralsight is offering the following courses under Google Scheme Android Developer Mobile Web Developer Cloud Architect Data Engineer One of the above can be opted and registered

PluralSight Procedure The website of PluralSight appears as shown in the diagram It provides option for selection of one of the paths. Area rounded by blue color line. Android Developer path is default path and white in Color Choose the path one you are interested to learn from the four options Fill the details in the white rows Click the Terms and Conditions to go to the next screen Area circled by the yellow line

PluralSight-Android Screen The suggested resources videos to complete this course is suggested in this screen. See the courses in Red box Below it, the videos are also listed Level of the video is also mentioned as beginner, medium and advanced. Follow the path of learning as per the recommendation for completing the videos

PluralSight-Mobile Web Developer This screen appears as shown (See the courses in Red rectangle) Choose this if you are interested in learning the skills to develop front end web development for mobile applications You may start with HTML, JAVA, CSS, JS and so on

PluralSight – Cloud Architect Path This path is recommended if your interest is to develop backend for applications Start with SQL, Data Processing, Apache and then others. This alos requires skill in basic programming like Python or JAVA or another language See the courses in the red Box

PluralSight – Data Engineer path If your love is for making a successful career in data sciences, then this is the correct path for you It is recommended to start with Python-JAVA-Apache-SQL-Business Analytics-Machine learning and complete the remaining videos See the red box

PluralSight Once you have completed the process of registration, you will get access to the resources of pluralsight video lessons as per the path chosen by you Complete the videos within the stipulated time Normally you will have to complete 70 hours of video in about 60 days of time

Udacity-Welcome Screen When you type the URL of Udacity, the welcome screen appears as shown in th diagram Click on Apply now This will take to the next screen. You have to register to apply for training program

Udacity - Registration Enter details All Compulsory First Name Last Name e-mail Create a password Confirm the password. Click on “Signup” Alternatively you can register through FaceBook account or Google Account if you have one. E-mail is a recommended way of registration

Udacity-Registration Confirmation Clicking on ‘Submit’ button leads to the next screen which appears as in the diagram Your registration status on the top of the screen You are also prompted to furnish your details The next four screens guide you to fill the data

Udacity – Background Information You are required to fill the details about your programming skills and levels. Responses begin with primitive skills to comfort levels in programming Skill level in logic development through Python language is to be provided. You will have to gauge yourself on a 5 level (0 to 4) scale Furnish all the details and move to the next screen

Udacity- Your Goals Screen ff You are required to write in respond by explaining two important queries: Choose the Primary purpose of choosing the program What do you expect to accomplish through this program Why do you thing you deserve this scholarship based program Answer well for these queries. Be clear but simple and brief in your answer. Type your full name as your signature. Click ‘Continue’

Udacity – The final Screen ff Upon successful registration, the final screen appears that shows some details You can edit your details upto 01-Feb-2018 You will be intimated bout confirmation of your admission by 07-02-18. Your classes will commence from 14-02-18

Goolge Scholarships – General Information All the courses on both the sites are free in the first round.
