Qasim Jalalpuria Photography Project Pitch/Research

Background/Overview We are taking some pictures, so we can recreate photographs taken by two famous photographers. The two chosen photographers were Nina Manandhar and Terrence Donovan.

Objective Our objective is to recreate photographs taken by photographers which we were inspired by Nina Manandhar and Terrence Donovan. We cannot copy the image exactly but we can add our own style to it to make it look unique. To do this I’ll take both of these photographs in two different locations and I will edit the photographs using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. I will use Adobe Photoshop for simple editing and when I drag the photograph into Adobe Lightroom I will make the little detail stand out.

Target Audience Photographer’s, photography and media students from any age. Any class; people who don’t work and people who work. Teenagers, students & adults who like looking at pictures even if they are not into photography or media. People who live in urban areas.

Influences I was inspired by Nina Manandhar and Terrence Donovan. I liked the way Terrence Donovan used natural lighting in one of his photographs. I also liked the way Nina Manandhar uses depth of field to make the model stand out by making the background blurred behind a model.

Focus The main focus of my photographs is to make them look unique. This makes the photograph stand out and not only make them look good, but give them a unique vibe which will bring all kinds of different audiences to like my photograph. For example people who like photography, media students, promoters, etc…

Mood/Atmosphere I will use natural lighting to make both of the photographs have a vibrant theme which would make both of the photographs stand out. For the Nina Manandhar photograph I will need a male student outdoors same to get natural lighting and also because she took the photograph outdoors aswell. For the Terence Donovan photograph I am going to take the photo outdoors because there isn’t enough natural lighting in the classroom.
