New Faculty Orientation Session Research Accounting Overview August 2017

Research Funding Queen’s University reported approximately $151 million of research revenue in Fiscal 2017 (May 2016 – April 2017) Research Accounting administers approximately 4,000 active research projects at any given time. There are rules and regulations to comply with as part of accepting this funding. Research Accounting works closely with the University Research Services on post-award administration.

The Research Accounting Team Main Responsibilities: Support the Research Community in administering research funding Project Establishment and Maintenance in the Finance System (PeopleSoft) Cash flow and budget monitoring Financial Reporting and Invoicing Compliance Review of Expenses Audits and Monitoring Visits
