Adrian celebrated his 9th birthday with a Disco party! August 2013 Updates: Adrian celebrated his 9th birthday with a Disco party!

Adrian had his birthday party at the “You Can Dance” studio (next door to Hahgoot’s swimming pool) and especially Alma had a fabulous time! She spent all the time dancing in the middle of the room, except when she saw scary masks, than she ran away...

Hahgoot had a slight fever the day before but she insisted she will not miss Adrian’s birthday party, so she went although she was sick. She had a great time and was very active, but this will come back to haunt us later... As you can see, Alma is always in the middle of the room, keeping up with the pace of the year 2-3 kids with ease...

And make lots of crazy faces! The party was good fun and everyone was encouraged to dance, in their own style and ability... And make lots of crazy faces!

Adrian had a “Cupcakes cake” which was a good idea and was gone quickly...

The birthday boy with Chris and Hahgoot After the successful party we were invited to a BBQ at the Piza family’s home with a group of close friends.

The girls enjoyed playing with old and new toys, and Adrian’s lovely friends: Daniel, Karina and Lara. The parents were also great, and Barak enjoyed his conversation with Branco, who is now his new Croatian friend.

When we arrived at the Piza family’s house Hahgoot complained she wasn’t feeling well. She had a fever, so spent the time resting on the sofa, eating icy poles to cool her down and we even tried a Croatian home remedy with garlic, which she wasn’t impressed with... Barak was having a fantastic time (below left: he is sitting between Adrian’s two grandfathers, the left one from the Czech republic, the right one from Spain) and didn’t want to go for a few HOURS so took a long time till I could get Hahgoot home and treat her.

Alma had a great time with the nice kids (above, enjoying Limbo) and helped set the table (below, left). The sea food BBQ was amazing, Miguel, Adrian’s dad, cooks really well and the Spanish grandma made a fabulous Paeja.
