Origins of RnB The term R&B was first used in 1949 to describe black dominated soul music. RnB also known as rhythm and blues first started out by the black slaves. Having beautiful voices and beautiful tunes in their head to carry out they started singing it in the work field etc then white people carried on the tune and further down the years black people were known for their type of music and are recognized right now

JODECI The group JODECI is a combination of all of the members names. The lead singer Cedric “ K-CI ” Hailey . And the second lead singer Joel “ Jojo ” Hailey . Jodeci was the starting point for the careers of artists such as Missy Elliot, Timbaland, and Ginuwine. The group had a successful string of hit singles and platinum albums until the group went on indefinite hiatus after 1998. The Hailey brothers continued to perform together under the name K-Ci & Jojo, and had success on the pop charts beyond that of the original band.

What did people think about RnB People really didn’t care to much for RnB when it first came out. RnB first came out by slave’s that would work In the fields they would hum the music. The various styles were based on a mingling of European influences with jazz rhythms and tonal inflections, particularly syncopation and the flatted blues chords. They grew out of the blues of the rural South, which blended work chants with songs of deep emotion, and were greatly influenced by gospel music.
