True Story Literary Nonfiction TEK- 3.9 Explain the difference in point of view between a biography and autobiography.

Biography A biography is a text written to inform a reader about a real person’s life. The author is someone other than the person featured in the text.

Characteristics of Biographies Date of birth and place Date and cause of death (or what they are doing now) What is it that makes this person special? What did the world learn from this person? A timeline of important events Always in 3rd person!
