Beware: Your Dreams will be crushed. By: Arnold Arias A Light in the Attic Beware: Your Dreams will be crushed. Have you ever had a child hood book that you thought was the greatest book in the world? Honestly, The chances are is that the book was banned. I am not stopping you from reading the book, But the people who banned it will.

What is a banned book? Challenged Meanings Moral of the books Banished Banned books are books that are not able to be in a certain place depending on its meaning of the book or things that are in the book that are inappropriate.

Disrespect for Authority Why is it Banned? Religious meanings Disrespect for Authority It could be disrespect to there parents, vanished for the meaning of the book whether its about spirits or religious meanings. It can have disrespect for authority and there parents, also for the truth.

Books can be banned when ever its chosen, some may be even today Books can be banned when ever its chosen, some may be even today! Depending on if its from a school that doesn’t want children reading it. Banned in: 1986 1993 1393 1983

Where was the book banned? Xenia, Ohio Mukwonago, Wisconsin Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania Books were usually banned from the type of religion or meaning the book had to a place. Places can approve these books if it is able to be in a certain area. These places disapprove these books.

Should it be banned? Suicidal Violence A light in the Attic had Satanic meanings in the book. Most of it have demons, devils and ghosts. Although there are Satanic meanings, there are also suicidal thoughts in the book which means cannibalism would be a part of it. Drug use in the book led most schools to challenge the book. Violence meant the book had to be bad, as much as it looks like a kids book, it is very brutal. The book had disrespect for authority from parents and disrespect for the truth. This led kids to misbehave from their parents and to rebel against them.

Read For Freedom FoR bOOKS! Our Rights! Read For Freedom FoR bOOKS! The first amendment states that there is religious freedom, so with that you are able to have books that are religious or have a satanic meaning. Also you have the freedom to read.

My Opinion and Yours Most people are disappointed that this book is banned. Others won’t be but the truth is people have to realize meanings of books. Most will ruin there childhoods but overall the books can never be forgotten. A wise man once said “Books and ideas are the most effective weapons against intolerance and ignorance.” That man knows about his books and will keep on reading it, whether its over freedom or the freedom of books!
