Overview of former EPSO working group activities Jooske Vos, EPSO (European Partnership for Supervisory Organisations in health services and social care), a co-operation between supervisory bodies in Europe

1. definition of ‘user participation’ until 2013 -No definition No definition was used as we thought the meaning of the term was completely clear; this proved to be wrong (lots of different meanings in various countries). Since 2013 -the following definition : ‘User participation’ is part of a policy to actively involve users of health care or social care (or their relations), to include their opinions in the policy of the supervisor, with the aim to improve the quality of health care or social care.
