Copying Worksheets When a worksheet is copied, the copy of the original will have a number inside parentheses Example: Sheet1 (2) In order to copy multiple worksheets at a time, the Control key must be pressed If both sheet tabs are selected (by using the control key), the user can type in one worksheet and the data will also appear in the other worksheet

Rename Worksheets By default, the name of a worksheet is Sheet1, Sheet2, etc. To rename a worksheet, right-click on the worksheet tab and click Rename You can also double click on the worksheet name to edit it

Changing Tab Color The worksheet tab color can be changed to emphasize sheet tabs in a workbook

Hiding Worksheets Hide: to make a worksheet invisible (John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2012) Unhide: To make a worksheet visible again (John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2012) Worksheets are not deleted, just not visible

Hiding Worksheets Multiple worksheets can be hidden by pressing and holding down the control key (John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2012) Only 1 worksheet can be unhidden at a time (John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2012)

Hiding Workbooks An entire workbook can be hidden by going to the View Tab > Window Group > Hide (John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2012)

Inserting/Deleting Worksheets Selecting multiple worksheets (by using the Control key) will allow the user to insert multiple worksheets at one time If you delete a worksheet, it cannot be undone

Working with Multiple Worksheets Group Worksheets: A feature that allows users to enter and edit data on several worksheets at the same time or apply formatting to multiple worksheets (John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2012) The word Group will appear in the title bar (John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2012)

Working with Multiple Worksheets When worksheets are grouped, information cannot be pasted from using linked or embedded data Arrange All: A feature that allows you to visually compare worksheets.

Zoom Zoom: A feature that allows users to make a worksheet appear bigger (zoom in) or smaller (zoom out) (John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2012)

Freeze Freeze: a feature of Microsoft Excel that keeps a portion of a worksheet visible while the other portion scrolls When you use the Freeze command, the column and/or row headings remain visible as you scroll through the worksheet(John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2012)

Find and Replace Find Command: allows the user to search for specific text throughout the worksheet (Control + F) Excel searches downward and then will circle back up to the top when searching for text Replace Command: allows the user to replace existing text with new text (Control + H) String: single character, word, or phrase in a cell on a worksheet that is typically used in searches

Go To A command that you can use to go to a specific place within the spreadsheet (John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2012)
