It is a red or yellow scaly ring. What is Ringworm? Is a fungal disease Is highly contagious. It is a red or yellow scaly ring.

Treatments Spots may disappear in days or lasts months. Can easily be cured with medicine from your local doctor. At home with special creams Prescription needed if cream fails Untreated the affected area can get badly infected. Result: Antibiotics

How does ringworm spread? The fungal agents from the ring worm can spread directly from direct contact. The fungal agents can also spread in directly through clips, hair, and shower stalls and floors. You can also get ringworm from touching pets that have the fungal agents for ringworm.

Symptoms Itchy Rash in a shape of a ring Ringworm on the hand- dry, thick and scaly Between fingers- moist and open sores Flat yellow or red patches Ringworm is seen 10 to 14 days. The fungus lives under your dead skin.

Current Research of Ringworm Research is being used to make a vaccine so you will always be immune to ringworm. Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine is study ringworm specifically on felines. More research is being put into preventing ringworm, than just treating it.
