Math 7 and 8 and Pre-Engineering Welcome Falcon Families! Math 7 and 8 and Pre-Engineering

Welcome to Your Students’ Classroom Community! As a teacher, mother, and true life longer learner my philosophy about your students’ educational experience is.. This classroom is their place. Your student spends more time during the week at this school than at home. Therefore, as teachers, we have a shared mission and responsibility to your student that there community is: Safe and Supportive Cooperative and Collaborative Respectful and Responsible Open and Accepting What Does this Look Like?

All About Me I'm old - but young at heart! I have 2 kids - Morgan 18, and Brett 15 I love to be in the ocean and spend most of my free time surfing and stand-up paddle boarding. I love hitting the gym at least 4 dsys per week to keep happy and healthy I love reggae music and going to concerts. As a teacher: I'm pretty cool. I want your students to learn to think for themselves. I encourage your student to always question the status quo Your student should never fear being wrong or different. NO ONE will be put down in my presence I will always do my best to help your student with anything they need

My Goals and Aspirations for the Year To facilitate the growth of your students’ the academic and social skills they need to progress as a student. To provide a supportive, challenging, enjoyable, and engaging classroom environment. To create a community of learners with a shared commitment to personal and academic growth and learning.

MATH 8 – CCS Course 3 We will continue our math studies using College Preparatory Mathematics curriculum. This curriculum is aligned with the grade level CC Standards. This year you will continue to investigate and explore mathematical concepts and practices. We will show evidence of our endeavor through: Individual Exploration Group Explorations and Activities Informal Assessments Homework Portfolio Development Formal and Informal Assessment VISIT MS. FARMER’ WEBSITE FOR MORE INFORMATION!!

Pre-Engineering This year in Pre-Engineering and Design your student will be exploring educational concepts focused on the planning, design, and construction of the man-made environment. We will be utilizing the Rokenbok Curriculum to introduce engineering and construction concepts. Check it out by clicking the link below: https://rokenbokeducation.org/
