Poznan power generation What power generation would fit into Poznan By: sangyun

Current technology In Poznan the current technology that they are using is Coal. The coals are cheap in Poland and there are a lot so they can keep use it because it gives enough energy to everyone but because of the pollution I think Poznan needs to change it.

About Poznan There is about 566,546 people living in Poznan The Energy requirements for Poznan is 19,476,151,842 kWh Attraction in Poznan is old town, impartial castle and municipal castle. The power plant requirement would be 222 MW Poznan has about

The possible power plant for Poznan would be Wind,Coal and solar. The choices The possible power plant for Poznan would be Wind,Coal and solar.

Wind power Wind power works by wind. When wind is blown the turbine of the windmill moves. When the turbine moves there is a two mechanical thing that moves like a bicycle. When that mechanical thing moves it creates energy. One windmill gives about 1.8mw to fill up the power plant requirement for Poznan they would need 123 windmills. It would cost about 884,863,476 PLN. I chose wind power because Poznan is a windy place.

Coal To make coal to a power it is first made into fine powder. When it is made to powder it is burned to a very high temperature. When it is burned in a high temperature it is turned to steam. Steam passes a lot of propellers. When the steam enters the steam turns the propeller around. When propeller is turned it produces energy. Coal produces 500mw and it is twice much than power plant requirements for Poznan so I think it is really good. I chose coal because there are a lot of coal in Poznan. Each coal power plant costs 425,051 PLN

Solar Solar power plant is very easily made to power. Solar panels absorb the sum and convert to energy. The disadvantage is that it doesn't work at night. Each solar panel gives 10mw to fill the power plant requirement for Poznan there should be 22 solar panel which will cost about 57,575,454,222,706PLN

My Recommendation My recommendation would be coal because there is a lot of supplies for coal. It also gives twice many energy than the power plant requirement. Even Poznan build coal generator they would have a lot of money left
