Women in I.T. One-Week High School Internship

Internship Details Dates: June 25 – 29, 2018 Pay: $12/hour 40 hours (8:30am-5:00pm) 18 spots Objective of the week: Interns will work in teams and learn to build and program a robot to compete in a competition challenge at the end of the internship (prior programming experience is not required) Interns will also be required to create a brand and strategy for their robot and pitch their idea to Citi’s senior leadership team. Throughout the week, interns will have a chance to hone their technology skills, meet technology professionals, and learn more about pursuing a career in technology.

Application Process - Requirements Application window: January 1 – February 15 Must be 16 years or older by June 1, 2018 to apply Applicant must be able to attend the internship from June 25-June 29 between the hours of 8:30AM and 5PM each day. Applicants will be expected to provide all transportation to and from the Citi campus for the interviews, and selected interns will be expected to provide transportation to and from the campus during the internship. Candidates for interviews will be notified by March 16, 2018 Interviews will take place the first two weeks of April in the evenings at the Irving Citi campus.

Application Process – Essay Details Please answer both prompts below within your essay. Describe experiences you have had that would allow you to be successful in this internship. Describe an experience you had working in a team and what you learned from it. Note: Experiences may be in school, your personal life, or at work. Essay Requirements: Essay must be between 500 and 1500 words Tip: Make sure to include any relevant experiences in Technology in your essay Do not include your name in the body of the essay If your parent(s) works at Citi, do not include their name within the body of the essay Essays will be reviewed and ranked based on overall organization, content, prior technology experience, and future technology aspirations.
