Tools/medicine Cayuga hunters used bow and arrows. Fisher men used spears and fishing poles with bones. Cayuga men fought with heavy clubs and shields.

clothing During the early mid 1700’s only profit people would wear clothes. They got clothes as a gift or in a trade. The transition of wearing cloth began in the pre evolution war period.

Area lived To Ontario the Iroquoian were made up of three groups. The Huran,Petun and the neutral. The Iroquoian lived in the southern part of Ontario. Cultures are similar to Newyork state.

language Most Cayuga people speak English. Some Cayuga speak their own language. The English came from the other Indians

transportation Cayuga people used elm bark or dug out canoes. Most Cayuga people preferred to travel by land. Most Cayuga people traveled by land for hunting

Food/hunting The Cayuga tribe were great farmers. The Cayuga people harvested wildberrys and herbs. Cayuga hunters hunted deer and elk at the shores of lake Ontario.

shelter The Cayuga Indians lived in villages of long houses. The longhouses are made out of hard wood frames. The buildings are covered with sheets of elm bark.

Hunting/gathering A lot of stews include wild onion. There is a stew is a venison stew There are nuts and other foods in the stew.

Games and entertainment Children like to go camping with their father. Children have less time to play and more chores. All children go to school.

cemories and festivals Athletic people never trade for religious stuff. Athletic people may sell arts and crafts. Religious items like smudged stuff never get traded.
