Pegasus John D. Willis

What was the Pegasus in Greek Mythology? The Pegasus was a winged horse. He was the son of Poseidon and Medusa. He was born from the blood of Medusa. The Pegasus was ordered by Zeus to carry his lightning. His twin brother was Chrysaor, who was said to be a giant or a winged boar, instead of a winged horse.

Mythology of Pegasus The Pegasus's father decapitated Medusa. The weakness of the Pegasus was that it could be ridden. Zeus used it's weakness against it. The Pegasus has no known children.

The picture of Pegasus in the stars The sky image of Pegasus (without the connecting lines)

Pegasus picture It is strange how only half the Pegasus is a constellation. You must look at it upside down to see the front half of Pegasus.
